The White Beast of Kanterbury is a sub-quest in World 1 - Kanterbury Forest. In this quest, the player attempts to befriend the White Beast.

Completion

In 1-2 Forest Entrance, the player finds the White Beast trapped in a cage. Press the Action Button to free the White Beast from its cage. The player attempts to interact with the White Beast, which first growls at and then bites the player, requiring the player to repeatedly tap rapidly to free themselves of the White Beast's attack. The White Beast subsequently runs away, beginning the quest.

In 1-4 Forest Border, the player sees the White Beast being lured into a cage by two Elite Orc Warriors. The player then enters the room, attacking and then eliminating the Elite Orc Warriors. The player frees the White Beast from its cage again. Afterwards, the player attempts to interact with the White Beast again. The White Beast growls again, so the player steps back to avoid being attacked. After the player steps back, the White Beast acts in a friendly manner, so the player approaches the White Beast again. The White Beast attacks the player again, requiring the player to repeatedly tap rapidly to free themselves of the White Beast's attack. The White Beast then runs away for a second time.

The player, still in 1-4 Forest Border, then comes across a chest. They open the chest, only to find nothing inside. The Head of Goblin ambushes the player, knocking the player to the side of a wall. The Head of Goblin then walks forward, intending to kill the player, when the White Beast jumps forward, attacking the Head of Goblin and saving the player. The player then recovers, and they and the White Beast attack the Head of Goblin, which, upon defeat, drops the Pegasus Sneakers on a tree. The player attempts to interact with the White Beast again, only for the White Beast to collapse on the ground.

Several hours pass, and it is nighttime, during which the player has set up a campfire. The White Beast is next to the campfire, still unconscious. The player attempts to feed the White Beast. They then attempt to reach for the Pegasus Sneakers located on a tree but fails at it. After this, the player approaches the White Beast, worrying about its survival. The player then goes to sleep. While the player is sleeping, the White Beast wakes up and retrieves the Pegasus Sneakers from the tree for the player.

The next day, the White Beast successfully wakes the player by rushing to them. The White Beast then gives the player Pegasus Sneakers, which the player tests out by running with it. Afterwards, the player attempts to interact with the White Beast again, but it stepped back. As the player exits the room, the White Beast begins to loyally follow the player, joining the player's party and ending the quest.
