Summons is the gacha[1] mechanism of Guardian Tales.
Using Diamonds as currency, the player can summon new Heroes and Equipment. The price for a single summon is 300 Diamonds or
100 Paid Diamonds. The price for 10x Summons is
2700, which means the player will be getting one Hero or Equipment Summon for free. Every single summon gives a single
Mileage Ticket (10x Summons gives the player 10 Tickets) which can be used to purchase Unique Heroes, Epic and Legend Weapons in Kamazon. In case the player is doing an Equipment Summon, each single summon rewards the player with 1
Magic Metal (10x Summons gives the player 10 Magic Metals [Citation needed]The game is not specific if doing ten summon gives 10 or 100 Metals, please revise).
At the very start of the game, the player is given a guaranteed counter for Hero Summon and Equipment Summon, which will give a guaranteed Unique Hero or Equipment within the first 30 Summons. The counters are separate for Heroes and Equipment, but not separate for each banner.
Summon Controllers[]
There are 2 types of Summon Controllers: Summon Controllers and
Selectable Summon Controllers. Distinguishable for their colors, Summon Controllers are purple, while Selectable Summon Controllers are grey.
Summon Controllers can be used in all types of summons, while
Selectable Summon Controllers are only used in Selectable Summon (Sometimes called "Wish List" summons).
If the player has Summon Controllers in their Inventory, the game forces the player to use them before using
Diamonds, as an alternative to them. Summon Controllers can only be used for summoning, and can be used in both Hero and Equipment summons.
Summon Hero[]
As the name suggests, new Heroes can be summoned. Heroes you have already summoned will be turned to Hero Crystals, with the amount depending on the rarity of the summoned Hero.

Hero Pickup Summon[]
Pickup Summon is a summon where a designated Hero (Usually the newest hero, or the last 2 newest heroes) have an increased chance of being summoned. Gems and
Summon Controllers can be used to summon in this banner.
The game gives the player 1 Pickup Ticket for each Pickup Summon. Each Pickup has its own set of Pickup Tickets, which means if there are 2 featured heroes, the player will have 2 reserves of Pickup Tickets which aren't interchangeably between different heroes; but they are interchangeably between a hero and their weapon.
Hero Selectable Summon[]
This banner, often referred to as the "Wish List" summon, features a list of all Unique Heroes in the game, from which the player must choose 5 of them to be featured in their Wish List. Heroes won't be available in the Wish List until 6 weeks after they have been released. Only the Heroes featured in the Wish List can be summoned. Players can access or change their Wish List by tapping on the profiles at the bottom left of their screen, or by tapping the "+" squares for the first time.
By accessing the Hero List, players are shown a Heroes Filter button and basic information about the heroes, like their name, illustration, Element, Class and stars. Under this information, a list of Reccomended Contents will be shown, something that isn't shown anywhere else in the game. Under this, the buttons "🔍", "Test out" and "Select" are shown: The 🔍 magnifying glass button shows an extended table with information about the selected Hero at its max level. Test Out is a function for the player to test a Hero's abilities and damage to an immortal Erina (Boss) doll. Next to it, the select button, used for adding the desired hero to the Wish List. In the bottom centre, the game shows the 3 Star sprite of the hero next to their Exclusive Weapon (In case the hero has more than one Exclusive Weapon, two arrows will be shown to change between Reccomended Contents), which also shows if the weapon is already owned.
Deprecated Summon[]
These banners had an increased chance of getting the featured character. This did not increase the chance of getting a Unique Hero, but increased the chance of the Unique Hero being the featured character. The chance of the Unique Hero being the featured Character was 50%.
Equipment Summon[]
Just like Hero Summon, Equipment Summon means summoning Equipment. This includes all Weapon types and accessories, but not items like the Strengthening Hammer. In addition to Mileage Ticket, every single summon gives you
10 Magic Metals which can be used to purchase
Equipment Boxes,
Epic Limit Breaking Hammer and
Option Change Stones in Kamazon.
It's not possible to obtain
Myth Weapons through Summons.
Equipment Pickup Summon[]
Equipment Pickup Summon is very similar to the Hero Pickup Summon; the newest Epic Weapon released is featured for 2-4 weeks with an increased summon chance, and the player receives 1 Pickup Ticket for each Pickup Summon.
Equipment Selectable Summon[]
Unlike Hero Selectable Summon, in Equipment Selectable Summon other weapons may appear in white boxes, but only
Legend Weapons, and not other unselected
Epic Weapons. Aside from that, the process is fairly similar, where the player chooses 5 Exclusive Weapons to summon for.

- ↑ A gacha game (Japanese: ガチャ ゲーム, Hepburn: gacha gēmu) is a game, typically a video game, that implements the gachapon machine style mechanics. Similar to loot boxes, live service gacha games entice players to spend in-game currency to receive a random in-game item. Some in-game currency generally can be gained through game play and staying up-to-date, and some by purchasing it from the game publisher using real-world funds.
