Overview

A powerful and dangerous frontline tank, who is able to turn his Defense stat into a weapon itself. Not only is he the only tank that increases the defense of his teammates twice, through both his Party passive skill and his final Awakening passive granting a portion of his own defense to teammates for an absolutely massive toughness boost overall, his unique weapon Eckesachs in his hands grants the unique ability of instantly Counterstriking any enemy that hits him with both melee or ranged attacks up to once per second, based on his defense value. The counterstrike is completely unavoidable. Coupled with this, his secondary skill Tactical Shield taunts nearby enemies to attack him while giving him a brief but massive Defense boost which also boosts the Counterstrike strength, a very lethal combo against auto-controlled enemies. A properly built team with Oghma as a frontline fighter and at least one healer backup will be very difficult to take down; Vampire Girl Karina is a particularly good choice given that her Party passive boost skill to Dark attacks will also affect Oghma.
