Guardian Tales is an action-based mobile adventure RPG with puzzles and reactive action combat. This game also has a gacha system. The game was released on February 24th, 2020 on both Android and iOS. The game was developed by Kong Studios and published by Kakao Games.
Guardian Tales revolves around an imaginary kingdom called Kanterbury where you play as The Knight trying to save said kingdom and keep its Little Princess safe, while adventuring through many Worlds, recruiting Heroes and saving people.

Playing through the Story will slowly unlock different aspects of gameplay. Starting out playing as The Knight, once the player acquires more Heroes, the character that the player controls can be changed anytime by making them take the first position in the current Party. Every single player stage will consume  Stamina, which will recharge over time. Heroes can be acquired mainly throughout the Story or by using  Diamonds to perform Summons.

Heavenhold is considered to be the player's headquarters, it being the first thing to appear when opening the game after completing World 1. A City it built, wherein collected Heroes gather  Soul Points. These points allow for building and upgrading buildings (which, in turn, give bonuses for Heroes) or purchasing items from Heavenhold's Shop or Heavenhold's Vending Machine.

Rift is used to collect resources to upgrade Heroes and Equipment. These resources include  Awakening Stones,  Strengthening Hammers,  Evolution Stones and  Experience. The Rift also includes farming for item upgrading materials and  Gold. Rifts have an "Auto" mode, where after the first clear, the Heroes move by themselves to clear the stage. Once you reach a high enough  Guardian Level, there is an option to "Sweep" the stages, where the Heroes aren't shown playing through the stage but the player will get the rewards of the stage automatically.

Tower, Orbital Lift and Tower of Horizon are all challenge stages with different rewards, which may range from items, currency and gems to costumes. All of these have solely single player stages where the player controls the Hero, and revives cannot be used. |

Colosseum is the place to build a Party, which will automatically battle against other players' defense parties. Because the player cannot control the Heroes in the Party, the outcome depends on the Heroes' stats, synergy of Chain Skills, and AI targeting. |

In Arena, Death Match and Master Arena, the player controls their chosen Heroes to battle other players in real time. In Co-op Expedition, the player creates a party with other people to battle against waves of Enemies and Bosses, much like single player stages but each player controls their own character. Arenas and Team Death Matches are open only for a few hours of the day and will give rewards according to the collected points after the season has ended. |
Synopsis[]
You are The Knight in training when a disaster hits the Kanterbury Castle. The Knight and the Little Princess are both thrown into Kanterbury Forest and as the Knight, your first mission is to make sure the princess is safe and sound. During the process of saving the princess from Mad Panda Trio you find yourself lead by Innkeeper Loraine to pull Champion Sword out of a stone. After pulling it the knight receives a vision where Lili advices them to use the sword to defeat the evil that descended into the castle. The sword need to be brought back to power by collecting the 13 Champions. The Knight takes the Little Princess on an adventure to recruit those Champions around the different Worlds.
