Just north of the Mysterious altar in 1-5 Ancient Ruin Entrance, behind the locked block, there is a grave. Interacting with it will bring out a ghost woman who will tell you that she wants the attention of another ghost and wants your help with it. Accepting the sub quest Ghost Guard will unlock the stage.
You enter and see that the ghosts are patrolling around. They have a red area that you cannot touch, otherwise, you will be sent back. There is no specific strategy in sneaking, just avoid the red areas. You can follow the ghosts very closely as they will not see you even if you basically touch them as long as you stay out of the red.
Once you go through all the patrols, you'll see the treasured sword in a stone. Pick it up and you'll see the ghost guard panic. The female ghost that gave you the location will come out and drag him away. You get Lovestruck Ghost Guard's Card as a reward for completing Ghost Guard. Destroy the Demon Altar to exit the level.
