I am Fern, Mistress Frieren's apprentice.
Is this the place they call Heavenhold…?
I'll do my best to assist with the adventure.—First-class Mage Fern
Fern is one of the playable Basic Heroes in the game Guardian Tales. She is assigned to the Ranged class and uses a Staff.
Profile[]
Fern is a first-class mage and an apprentice of Frieren.
Fern, who lost everything and became an orphan during a past war, was on the verge of ending her own life by jumping off a ravine when she was saved by a priest named Heiter. Deeply respecting Heiter, who raised her, she sought to repay his kindness by learning to live independently.
After receiving a staff from Heiter, Fern trained diligently under Frieren's guidance, never missing a single day. She surpassed a barrier that would normally take ten years for an average person to overcome in just four years, achieving her goal of piercing a boulder across the valley. Following Heiter's passing, she sets off on a journey with her master, Frieren.
Fern possesses exceptional mana control and detection abilities, impressive enough to awe even long-lived elf races. She became the youngest mage in history to pass the third-class mage exam with the highest score. During the third test of the first-class mage exam, the Great Mage Serie, recognizing her talent, personally invited her to become her apprentice. However, Fern declined, firmly stating that Frieren was her only master.
