Evolution stones are used during Hero Evolution to upgrade a Character's Star Level. Increasing Heroes Star Level will increase the amount of Awakening nodes available to that hero. You can also use Hero Evolution to increase the basic stats that the Character has.

Evolution Stones are a resource gained from Rift's Evolution Dungeons. There are three types of Dungeon's which all give different types of Evolution stones, Skill Dungeon gives only Earth and Basic type Hero Evolution stones, Solo Dungeon gives only Fire and Light type Hero Evolution Stones and Damage Reduction Dungeon gives Water and Dark type Hero evolution stones. You can only select one type of Epic grade Hero stone and 4 types of Rare hero stones as a reward at a time. Normal grade Hero Evolution Stones are given out randomly as a reward.
Hero Evolution stones can also be Purchased from Kamazon under the Hero Growth tab, where the price will depend on the type of stones you're buying. Buying Element type of Evolution stone boxes, will give you random assortment of that Element's type of Hero's Evolution Stones.

Usage[]
The amount of Hero Evolution stones required to upgrade the Star Level will depend on the Star level of the Character, but you can Evolve a hero once you gain 40 Hero Evolution Stones for that Hero which will always raise that Character's basic stats.
