J is an agent of the Atlantis Intelligence Bureau.
In the seas of Tetis, countless species swim freely, but the waters remain ever tranquil thanks to the presence of the Water Elemental King, Triton. Supporting him are the agents of the Intelligence Bureau, who work tirelessly to eliminate large-scale terrorist threats and national-level dangers that threaten Atlantis, preserving peace beneath the waves.
Among them, J is a unique case. Unlike other agents who operate in teams, J is deployed alone into mission zones and completes operations solo. Officially, it is said that the upper echelons have granted her special clearance to undertake solo missions, citing her exceptional ability to handle team-scale operations by herself.
But in truth, J is isolated within the organization. Though fiercely loyal to the nation and known for executing missions with complete emotional detachment-sacrificing aspects of personal life for the sake of duty-J's methods came to be viewed as outdated and inefficient following a generational shift within the Bureau.
As a result, J became the only agent without a team. After countless solo operations, staring at the resignation letter hidden in a corner of her desk drawer became a part of her daily routine. While J wanted to continue protecting the neare established by Triton, there was also a more practical reason: retiring now would disqualify her from receiving the special pension reserved for public servants.
However, everything changed when J participated in a joint operation with an agent named "Osprey." The mission offered her a revelation-both agents focused solely on the objective, with no emotional friction throughout the process. The clean, successful outcome solidified J's belief that within a results-driven organization, finding compatible teammates was nearly impossible.
From that day forward, J began building a personal team for each mission. The selection criteria were threefold:
1. Shared objectives.
2. Complete transparency.
3. Equal authority.
Through this process, she built teams that could focus entirely on the mission at hand. Over time, these successes accumulated. As a result, in a rare decision from leadership, J was granted full operational autonomy—becoming the only Intelligence Bureau agent authorized to carry out missions without receiving direct orders.
