Camilla, formerly known as Queen Camilla, was the older sister of the Little Princess and the former Queen of Kanterbury. After accidentally eavesdropping on a conversation between Queen Lili and an unknown figure regarding The Loop, Camilla decided to rebel against Lili and confront the leader of the Invaders to find a way of breaking the Loop, leading her to be elected as the Invaders' 1st Corps Commander.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Due to a lack of information, Camilla's age is unknown, apart of assumptions made from the sparse data surrounding her. However, these estimates are not necessarily self-consistent.

Camilla was next in line to ascend to queenship over Kanterbury Kingdom after her mother's disappearance.

From a young age, she was noted to display exceptional talent across many fields. Her mother, Beatrix II, sought the most distinguished tutors from all across the kingdom to nurture Camilla's prowess and watch it blossom. These tutors observed her swift progress determined that her talents in the fields of spearmanship and the art of magic could be nothing less than extraordinary. Even the then-young Knight Captain Eva fell into a slump upon realizing that she had been surpassed by the child.

Yet in the end, it ultimately didn't matter to the young woman. The only thing that mattered was her singular, hereditary duty to leading humanity to victory to the prophecy's conclusion.

Not long before her mother's coming-of-age ceremony in 498 A.H., Beatrix II showed Camilla, who by then was 14 years old, the Champion's Sword on it's pedestal within the castle and told her that her ultimate legacy to her was the duties of the kingdom's royalty, and the sword of light, before vanishing without a trace. In her place, the revenant queen Lili appeared to her and reminded her of her role in the prophecy: to continue raising the Knight, and carefully adjust them so that they would be accepted as the owner of that Champion's Sword.

The recent birth of her little sister was a joyous occasion for her, yet it surprised and dismayed Lili, who asserted that her existence wasn't apart of the Prophecy. That she was a problem that needed to be troubleshooted.

Nevertheless, Camilla was incredulous about the prospect that a single misplaced person could destroy humanity's future, and send the world spiralling into an abyss of eternal darkness, and continued to raise the anomalous girl alongside the Knight as though she had belonged. She would tell her stuff like the fact that the kingdom's royalty never give up, even in the face of seemingly impossible odds. Gradually her heart, molded into an iron cast by the education of the queens of Kanterbury, defrosted, perhaps from the Little Princess herself, or from the revelation that fate could be changed. Regardless, she grew into a genuinely warm-hearted queen.

One day, in the year 501 A.H., she had returned to the ancient queen to deliver her an update on the Knight's status, before she overheard her troubled and exasperated voice echoing through the building, upon which she hid and eavesdropped upon a conversation between Lili and an unknown man, who she knew nothing about. It seemed that, despite apparently being completely divorced from the functions of the Kanterbury Royalty, he possessed extensive knowledge of Kaden's prophecy, and regarded Lili as an estranged friend.

He had observed the Knight's stunted synchronization and the appearance of an unexpected guest and inferred that the prophecy had begun to fracture at long last, but she denied the existence of any meaningful discrepancies to the blueprint laid out by the gods and the final product. In fact, all that transpired had done so flawlessly within the bounds of the prophecy, and she had no real reason to believe that it would collapse now. The Savior will be slain, and the world will end, as predicted.

Shortly thereafter, their talk concluded, and the man in the mask remained. He was aware of Camilla's presence, and, with this revelation set in her mind, he ordered her to flee from Lili's grasp if she wants to live, and truly save the world.

Afeard, Camilla did just that. The time of the Invaders' attack was approaching. Perhaps she could seek the one they call 'the savior' for help...

Prologue[]

As the Invaders begin their attack upon Kanterbury, Camilla teleports the residents to a safe place while being accompanied by the Little Princess in the Throne Room. After sending the last resident, she's approached by the Knight Captain Eva and a newly-recruited Guardian who checked on her and the Princess's safety. Suddenly, a mysterious hooded figure infiltrated the throne room and in an instant, the three were immediately immobilized by its spell. The Little Princess then unconsciously locked it inside a barrier, before temporarily losing consciousness herself. Camilla then goes and teleports the four of them to the Kanterbury Ruins, but was chased down by the figure, who broke through the barrier. The mysterious figure eventually separated Eva, the new Guardian and the Little Princess from Cammie, with Eva landing on the Desert of Madness, and the new Guardian landing on the Kanterbury Forest with the Little Princess.

With the Queen now all alone, the hooded figure calls her by title and name, telling her to "accept the cleansing judgement". Cammie compliments the figure on her skills, while also revealing to the figure that she knows of her actual identity as Beth, the Invaders' 13th Corps Commander. Surprised and confused, she asked the Queen how she knew her name. Cammie replied, telling her that she knows of events that's about to come in the future, before requesting Beth to bring her to the Savior.[1]

Beth would later comply, bringing Camilla towards the leader of the Invaders, where she would discuss ways to break the Loop. The Savior offers to give her the power to fight against the prophecy, and in exchange, Camilla would reveal any information that she knows about The Knight and the Champion's Sword. Camilla would agree on the deal, and after their discussion, they would agree on the conclusion that "to prevent the prophecy from coming true and stop the end from coming, the Guardian must never meet the Savior with the Champion's Sword in hand."[1]

Camilla would later be elected as the Invaders' 1st Corps Commander by the Savior and would immediately search for The Knight and the Little Princess.[1]

Fall of Heavenhold[]

Sometime after the Knight's return from the future, Camilla discovered the current whereabouts of Heavenhold and proceeded to launch attacks against the floating castle. While they were able to fend off against the smaller aircrafts that the Invaders soldiers piloted, they were immediately taken down by the 1st Corps Mothership after it shot a laserbeam through the fortress. As it falls however, a strange portal opened, teleporting them into the Demon World.

Epilogue[]

After a certain amount of time, Camilla was able to track down the whereabouts of the Princess all the way to the Demon World, as the Invaders' 1st Corps hovers above the skies of the Demon World Capital.

World 15 - Assault[]

Assault[]

Regardless of the Savior's initial plans, Camilla had overseen the execution of the Invaders' preliminary incursion into Demon World's airspace in order to evaluate the depth of their tactical wherewithal and technological advancement. Yet her rationale for willingly proceeding with such an arrangement was motivated by ulterior bases unforeseen by her peers or her subordinates.

The assault was supplied for the purpose of reconnaissance, but it served as a diversion, on the former queen's behalf, for the Knight and their compatriots. They would, predictably, go out to defend Demon World from the Invaders, essentially abandoning Heavenhold, whereupon Camilla would seize their ultimate asset while they weren't looking, using the Mana Singularity Drives that Saul and Neo=Federation would have already relinquished control over by the time the attack commenced over the capital.

So, the failure of the 'assault' still could only be measured as a shade of success for Camilla, for the fact is, the assault would have only failed if the Knight had taken the bait and set out to destroy the Queenship.

So when the Knight and the Demon Gods continued to desolate the otherwise pristine interior of the flagship, she fled, by means of an unscheduled escape pod departure, and set out to manifest the second wing of her plan. While of course, her absence did not go unnoticed by the man who was sent to the Queenship as a 4th Corps surveillance asset, but his usefulness to his superior had been exhausted and his final missive would be to perish with the ship itself, so that little secret could never make it's way to anyone, except to the Savior.

By the time the Queenship had been destroyed, the floating playground was now hers.

Epilogue[]

After the destruction of the 1st Corps Mothership, The Knight and the Princess were greeted with the sight of Heavenhold, which now falls under the possession of the 1st Corps Commander.

World 16 - Reunion[]

As a shadow was cast over the skyline of Demon World, she monologued to herself, and reminisced all that she had done to get to where she is now.

Takeover Of Heavenhold[]

With a single electromagnetic pulse, all of the capital's electrical systems were disabled. Demon World would be in complete darkness, if not for the faint scarlet shine of the fallen fortress. Heavenhold projected a three dimensional hologram of Camilla, in which she directly addressed Demon Queen Lilith and The Knight, dismissing the continent's ability to defend itself from a proper invasion. So she provided an alternative to continued, and unnecessary, bloodshed, and that was a diplomatic talk, a setup where the Little Princess and the Knight would be the continent's sole ambassadors.

To bridge the gap between the earth and Heavenhold, she deployed a warp device, that would teleport the desired guests to it's highest floor. Only the ambassadors she selected would be accepted, and no one else.

Eventually they acquiesced and came to a chamber within the castle on Heavenhold, where Camilla had prepared a feast for them, with the expectation that they would dine and chat. There, she allowed the Knight to recount their experiences since her attack on Heavenhold some time ago, and mentioned that she had since learned that they had met a person who looks almost exactly like them.

She ignored the surprise that engulfed the Knight and continued, reminding them that they could only triumph because the Princess stood beside them. Without her help, they are nothing.

When the Princess rejected the idea that the two would ever part ways, she interpreted this as meaning that her cutie believed the Knight would be capable enough to triumph over future threats to the world, but she believed that idea to be naive.

She decided how the Knight struggled with a single ship, when hundreds of others, just like it, had been stockpiled by the Invaders over the years. Demon World was brought to it's knees by a single one of those ships alone, and it was clear that it stood no chance against a full out assault- the pathetic state that their protector was in proves it. They didn't even have their precious fortress to protect them. Their struggle was futile, and doomed to end in failure.

Not long after, she revealed her face, ever concealed behind the mask given to her by the Savior, and allowed the two to see her and weep.

When her little cutie came to their senses after the revelation, to an extent such that she could query her on why she turned to the Invaders, she felt the need to explain herself.

But alas, as much as she would like to drag this out forever, the Knight's little game would have to come to an end, for the sake of the world and it's people. She assured them that their friends, Heavenhold, and the Princess would remain safe with her. Yet still, even after the first course of the fight with the guardian, they remained steadfast in their own pool of denial, and Camilla decided to show them just how truly overwhelmed and powerless they were by dispatching the four Champions under her command to destroy them. They were no longer of any concern to her.

Now, all she wished to do was to commune with the Little Princess and reminisce over the past, and pave way for a resumption of that past. They could forget their royal duties, and their sense of royal honor, and just live happily. Of course, she also had to convince her sister that she was right in eliminating the guardian, that it was the only way to truly save the world.

Unfortunately, they didn't just give up and die somewhere, and while she wasn't looking, they had subdued all the champions and persisted against all odds. This revelation evoked great, barely restrained anger within Camilla, which she only tempered because she disturbed the already distraught Princess.

However, she believed that the destruction of the Knight was something that cannot be waived for her sister's sake, and asked her to wait while she confronted the guardian. Yet when her cutie expressed her inability to watch her two favorite people fight, she briefly resigned, and asked her to go on a little stroll with her.

While they walked, the Princess left behind a trail of used handkerchiefs, breadcrumbs that would allow the Knight to find their way, just like old times. Camilla was aware of the purpose of this trail but did nothing to stop the Princess from laying down her trash, for she was doing precisely what she wanted her to do, and that was to deliver the guardian to her.

She wanted her sister to wait, while she dealt with the Knight, but offered to give her one, final explanation for why she didn't stop now: for as long as the persistent guardian survived, they would continue to doggedly pursue the conclusion of the prophecy- the lie- fed to the Kanterbury Royals over centuries by Queen Lili. After her short explanation, she used a bit of her magic to put her to sleep, while she sorted out the filth.

A Hero's Privilege[]

By now Camilla was surrounded, by the Knight and the very champions she had previously beguiled. Yet she wondered why they didn't simply run away with their life while they had the chance to survive, for now they have come to a dead-end. They still believed themselves the hero of this story, but that was no longer the case. She was the hero now, for only she was in the position to save the world, and it's people, and especially her lovely sister, from it's descent into darkness.

When the champions noticed the Princess having been imprisoned by Camilla, amongst the clamorous accusations of insanity from the other three, Coco more or less calmly told her that she lacked conscience and pointed out the hypocrisy of her saying that she wants to protect her sister, and then turn around and try to slay the one person who has protected her throughout her journey.

The former queen seemed incredulous at this remark, and questioned the integrity of the idea that the Knight was protecting the Princess, and proposed that the opposite was true, that rather, the Princess was the one protecting the Knight, from the moment the Dark Magician attacked Kanterbury to the present. The Knight wasn't the chosen one, they didn't have any special powers, it was the Little Princess who was carrying them throughout their entire journey. To Camilla, the Knight was garbage, and as such, they must be discarded.

Even though they may have 'won' this confrontation, in doing so they proved her point: they were dependent upon the help of others. They wouldn't have triumphed if not for those pesky champions assisting them in her defeat.

But she could not fail now, for all remnants of the prophecy passed down through generations of the Kanterbury royal family must be destroyed. The guardian, first and foremost, for it was their existence that put the lives of so many in jeopardy, including that of the Princess, and made Lili target her.

And so, in spite of the group of five's attempt to stop her from transitioning to her final act of desperation, she succeeded, and began to float into the air, and donning a new suit of armor, and diving down onto the Knight, destroying the ground beneath them. And they crashed in through the ceiling, into a hidden chamber in Heavenhold. Isolated, and alone.

Yet in direct contradiction to her beliefs about them, the guardian still won, even by themselves.

The headset that obscured much of her head, provided by the Savior, was the only thing that protected her from Lili's influenced- and now it was beyond repair. There was nothing standing in the way to the ancient queen's conquest of her mind and body, and the termination of the Little Princess.

Upon coming to her senses and realizing that she was unprotected, she begged for the Knight to kill them, for she was the final conduit for Lili's influence- and as such, her death was the only way to prevent her from killing her sister.

Regardless of the Knight's confusion, she demanded of them to destroy her, before she took control of her, though even if they should choose to do what she says, they will be stopped by the Princess.

Ultimately, though this was not enough to save Camilla, for the guide, Lili, appeared on cue, and made the motion to expunge the former queen's soul from her body and completely take it over, and use what little power she had left to destroy this bothersome rift pile, with her blades. But, with what control she had left, Camilla willed her resolve and returned control over her power to lacerate herself with her own magic blades, causing enough lethal damage to permanently put her body out of commission, making her useless for Lili's purposes.

Before she went limp, she spoke to the Little Princess one last time. And when she did so, she was relieved, for she could die free, knowing that her little cutie was safe.
